Why I created this book, from author and illustrator Lucy Tapper: I created the Memory Lane series because reaching 40 deserves more than a card. Forty years of living holds layers of culture, change and everyday detail that are easily forgotten. I wanted to design something that gathers those layers together. A book that feels informed but never heavy. Reflective, sentimental and a way to honour the decades that shaped a person, with humour and respect in equal measure.
