Why I created this book, from author and illustrator Lucy Tapper: I created this book because relationships with fathers often settle into shorthand. Shared jokes. Familiar routines. Things understood but not always said. As we grow older, we see our dads differently. Not just as parents, but as people. I wanted to create a book that gives space for that reflection. A way to say thank you, to tease gently, and to acknowledge the role he has played.
